{"id":13109,"date":"2019-09-15T16:31:06","date_gmt":"2019-09-15T14:31:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nem2015.com\/news\/iso-17025\/"},"modified":"2024-11-11T15:26:38","modified_gmt":"2024-11-11T14:26:38","slug":"iso-17025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nem2015.com\/en\/standard-en\/iso-17025\/","title":{"rendered":"ISO 17025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>ISO 1702<\/strong>5 standard establishes the management and technical requirements for the <strong>accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>The Accreditation covers both the Management System and each individual test or calibration.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While the <strong>ISO 9001 Certification refers to the Quality Management System<\/strong> implemented by the Organization \/ Laboratory, the <strong>Accreditation<\/strong> covers both the Management System and<strong> each individual test or calibration<\/strong> for which the Laboratory intends to be or is \u201caccredited\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accreditation<\/strong> is obtained by implementing <strong>both the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard and the technical regulations applicable to the tests \/ calibrations<\/strong> in question. Such technical regulations are envisaged by the Accreditation Body (for Italy, ACCREDIA documents applicable to the test and calibration laboratories).<\/p>\n<h2>The accreditation service<\/h2>\n<p>To access the <strong>accreditation services<\/strong>, the Organization requesting it must<strong> complete an application<\/strong> consisting of a <strong>general section<\/strong> (containing the general information on the Organization) and a <strong>specific part<\/strong> for the requested scheme. After acceptance of the application, the Laboratory must <strong>send the technical and management documentation<\/strong> to the Accreditation Body and only after a <strong>positive evaluation<\/strong> of such documentation <strong>the inspection visit to the Laboratory can be planned<\/strong>. This includes any branch offices, or visit to the field where applicable.<\/p>\n<p>If the visit is successful, a <strong>Certificate of Accreditation<\/strong> is issued to the Testing \/ Calibration Laboratory, accompanied by the cards listing the <strong>accredited tests \/ calibrations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly to the Management Systems, also the Accreditation of the tests \/ calibrations is subject to <strong>periodic surveillance visits and renewal of the Accreditation itself<\/strong> by the Accreditation Body.<\/p>\n<p>The Accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories <strong>can be a mandatory requirement at national or international level<\/strong> based on laws \/ regulations or specific requests of reference markets. For example, the <strong>Automotive sector<\/strong> requires that <strong>testing and calibration laboratories outside<\/strong> the Organization subject to IATF 16949 certification<strong> are accredited according to ISO 17025<\/strong> or to an equivalent national standard.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>NEM &amp; ISO 17025<\/h2>\n<p><strong>NeM<\/strong> has the knowledge, experience and methodology necessary to <strong>support the Laboratory<\/strong> especially for the management part and also has specific technical skills related to: <strong>electrical\/electronic measurements, physical quantities and software tests<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>method<\/strong> proposed by <strong>NeM<\/strong> for the <strong>achievement of the ISO 17025 certification<\/strong> is described in the section:<br \/>\n<strong> \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nem2015.com\/en\/path-towards-certification\/\">THE PATH TO CERTIFICATION<\/a>\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Establishes the management and technical requirements for the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":13110,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[70],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-13109","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-standard-en","category-70","description-off"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.3 -
